4/27/2005 - Eva's first flu. Details are not pretty.

4/23/2005 - Possiblity a coincidence but Eva points to frog and duck in the tub when asked "where's the duck?" and "where's the frog?"

4/20/2005 - Eva starts to bob head and bounce up and down to music.

4/12/2005- Eva walks with her doll walker without any adult assistance. She stops and starts on her own.

4/7/2005 - This teething is tremendous fun. Eva bites Jen 4 times (leg, arm and twice on the chest). Eva has bitten Jeff...zero times. Not sure what that's all about but Jen thinks that there is some sort of deal that has been made. Hmmmm...

4/6/2005 - Eva's ONE YEAR appt. (29.5" tall, 19.32 lbs and 18" head circumference) While in Dr. Freedman's office, Eva chose to crawl with her feet flat on the floor and arms extended (like an upside down "v"). This impressed the doctor. :) She got the "go ahead" for milk and other toddler type foods.

4/4/2005 - As a means of climbing up Jen, Eva now uses her teeth as a tool. Needless to say, Jen does not like being bit and would like her to rethink the whole process. Eva is not convinced.

4/3/2005 - Eva has cake and enjoys some snazzy gifts. She is one lucky toddler.

4/1/2005 - Eva is now ONE!! She celebrates by crawling on her hands and knees.

3/31/2005 - ONE NAP???? Where has this new trend come from?

3/30/2005 - Eva greets Jen standing up in her crib in the morning. We lower the mattress as low as it can go.

3/28/2005 - Eva greets Jeff standing up in her crib in the morning. We immediately lower the mattress.

3/18/2005 - We have a new bedtime. 9:30! Somehow Eva is still getting up at 6:30. Where does she get the energy?

3/17/2005 - Eva stacks 3 blocks.

3/10/2005 - Eva puts blocks into containers. Eva stands up in the tub.

3/3/2005 - Eva begins to "commando crawl".

2/24/2005 - Eva's first real cold. Super congested. She also continues to teethe four new teeth trying to poke through on her upper gums.

2/23/2005 - While "cruising" along the coffee table Eva falls and acquires her first injury. She has a cut on her upper lip, side of her mouth and top gum.

2/14/2005 - Eva receives her first Valentine from her Nana. She finds it very nice to chew on. She also had her first taste of orange. Verdict...yummy. Today also marks 2 weeks of not wanting to eat dinner. And the habit of spitting out food. She is enjoying making raspberry sounds while drinking from her bottle. Very messy. *addition!! Eva started to pull herself up from a sitting position to stand at the LeapFrog Activity Table!!

2/5/2005 - Eva witnesses another victory for Boston fans with the Patriots winning the Superbowl.

1/14/2005 - Eva begins to sleep on her tummy.

1/12/2005 - Eva rolls from back to front. This now makes diaper changes very very challenging.

1/5/2005 - Eva begins "cruising" the furniture. Dogs look nervous.

12/31/2004 - Eva rings in the New Year with her Nana. Celebratory bottles were enjoyed.

12/29/2004 - 9 month checkup (height 27.25" weight 16lbs 11oz)

12/25/2004- Eva enjoys her first Christmas with her Nana, Grammy and Grampy, Great Grandma Stevens, Kaiser & Sozé and a heap load of thoughtful gifts.

12/24/2004 - Eva spends her first Christmas Eve with her Great Grandma Eva and begins a tradition with her father - reading The Night Before Christmas. This book was her first Christmas present given to her by her father.

12/15/2004 - Having an affinity for clichés Eva begins to teeth. She will have her two (top) front teeth for Christmas. Although I don't believe she will be ready to whistle.

12/11/2004 - Eva's goes to two Christmas parties and whoops it up all night long!

11/25/2004 - Eva's first Thanksgiving. Although too young for table food, she joins in the festivities with Nature's Best Pumpkin Pie and Sweet Potatoes.

11/21/2004 - Eva starts to stand and hold furniture.

11/19/2004 - Eva becomes a member of the YWCA and starts her infant swim class

11/18/2004 - Eva's first photo with Santa. She also had a group photo with Ava and Emma with Santa too.

11/5/2004 - Eva eats in booster seat for the first time.

11/2/2004 - Eva goes to her first story time at the library. She also has her first bath in the non-infant side of her bathtub. She sits and splashes giggling at the way the toys move around in her wake.

10/27/2004 - Eva begins to learn how to put her puffed cereal snacks in her mouth. Some make it in while others remain stuck to her hands and face.

10/26/2004 - Eva witnesses the Red Sox win the World Series! She is passed around and poses with everyone in celebration photos.

10/24/2004 - Eva goes swimming at South Portland Municipal Pool.

10/21/2004 - Eva starts using her Johnny Jump up and loves it.

10/11/2004 - Eva says "moo"

10/8/2004 - Eva makes her swing go back and forth by rocking.

10/7/2004 - Eva begins her first vacation away from Mama with Nana. 4 whole days!

10/4/2004 - Eva blows her first raspberries.

10/2/2004 - Eva sits up without a net!!

9/30/2004 - Naps are no longer desirable to Eva. She prefers to lay there complaining about how tired she is. We also have started using the stroller without the car seat attached.

9/28/2004 - Eva's thinks the teething biscuits are alright but the Cheerios confuse and offend her. She prefers to bang the sippy cup full of water on things than drink from it.

9/27/2004 - Eva's 6 month checkup (height 25.5" weight 14lbs 4oz head 17 BMI 16.1) 3rd round shots. Given the "go ahead" to start teething biscuits and Cheerios. Also told to increase solids and start introducing water in a sippy cup.

9/25/2004 - We have TEETH! Two sharp teeth are now poking through the bottom gums. How do we know this? Eva bit Nana. OUCH!

9/24/2004 - Eva has her first play date with 2 other babies Ava (4/3) and Emma (4/12). Fun is had by all. Photographic evidence is in the gallery.

9/14/2004 - The clicking sound has now progressed into a full NahNahNahNah

9/13/2004 - Eva starts to make a clicking sound by putting her tongue onto the roof of her mouth.

9/8/2004 - Eva drinks EBM out of a sippy cup! Feeding her gets harder as she wants to hold the spoon all the time.

9/6/2004 - Eva picks up pacifier and puts it in her mouth. Still HATES bananas! In an attempt to crawl, she pivoted around 360°.

9/5/2004 - Eva rolls from front to back. Twice. And it doesn't appear that it was due to falling over!

8/28/2004 - Eva goes back in the pool and loves it!

8/23/2004 - The first time Eva tries to be like her mother by putting her foot in her mouth. She tries peas and loves them. Mm mm...

8/22/2004 - Eva is baptized. First belly laugh with Jeff. (requires Quicktime plugin)

8/21/2004 - Interlocks fingers

8/20/2004 - Love's pears. Insists on grabbing spoon when eating. Still requiring less sleep.

8/18/2004 - Eva's first laugh when seeing Kaiser & Sozé play. Reverts back to old sleeping pattern. Up at 3 a.m. Feeding non-stop. Jen is burnt out.

8/17/2004 - Eva tries bananas. She does not like it.

8/17/2004 - The first scary poop that makes Jen say "WHOA!"

8/15/2004 - Eva tries carrots. She thinks they are okay.

8/14/2004 - Eva holds her own spoon. Just to chew on it. Also figures out how to push the music button on exersaucer. Also shows excitement when seeing her toys.

8/13/2004 - Eva tries sweet potato. Not bad. Prefers cereal though.

8/8/2004 - Eva's first smoke alarm. Stirred but did not wake up.

8/7/2004 - Eva's first time in the grass. She didn't seem to care about it one way or the other. Also starts pinching. Ouch!

8/2/2004 - Eva's first time in an exersaucer. Really loves it. Plays with toys. Needs towel for support.

7/30/2004 - Eva's first time on a boat. Unfazed. Went to Block Island.

7/29/2004 - Eva is introduced to cereal. Her verdict...yum! Now we can stop the Zantac.

7/27/2004 - 4 month checkup (height 24.5" weight 13lbs 2oz head 16.25 BMI 15) 2nd round shots

7/23/2004 - Eva starts kicking legs and slamming them down. Keeps herself away at night. Joy!

7/22/2004 - Eva starts grabbing her feet

7/21/2004 - Eva's first diaper rash requires medicated cream. At Dr. Freedman's weighs 13lbs 1oz

7/19/2004 - Eva's first belly laugh! We retire her 0-3 month clothes.

7/17/2004 - Eva's first overnight with Nana. She grabbed the bottle while being fed.

7/8/2004 - Eva starts grabbing items to purposely put in her mouth. Starts chewing on her hands. A lot!

7/6/2004 - Eva starts entertaining herself by "singing". She coos & babbles while in her crib and swing.

7/4/2004 - Eva's first time in a swimming pool. Too cold. Cried. We will try it again when it's warmer.

7/2/2004 - Eva turns on Fisher Price Aquarium by herself.

6/24/2004 - Eva's first trip to Cape Cod. Longest road trip yet (5.5 hours due to traffic)

6/22/2004 - Weight check for Zantac adjustment. Eva weighs 12lbs 2oz

6/15/2004 - No longer likes being on tummy.

6/12/2004 - Eva's first giggle!!

6/3/2004 - Eva starts to purposely bat at items and grab them. Jen's hair is her favorite thing to grab.

5/27/2004 - 2 month checkup (height 22.75" weight 10lbs 3oz head 15.5 BMI 14) 1st round shots

5/26/2004 - Eva moves out of her newborn Prowrap diaper covers and onto size small.

5/24/2004 - Slept "through the night" 7:30 p - 5:30 a (freaked Jen out a bit)

5/22/2004 - Longest time away from Jen (7 hours)

5/13/2004 - Eva's first smile. (not gas!!)

5/11/2004 - Put on Zantac for reflux. Weighs 9lbs 11oz.

5/7/2004 - Eva goes to Maine Medical Center for Barium Swallow Test. Results are positive for reflux.

5/4/2004 - 1 month check up (weight 9lbs 4oz.)

4/15/2004 - 2 week check up Dr. Freedman's (weight 8lbs 3oz)

4/13/2004 - Eva's umbilical stump falls off.

4/8/2004 - 1 week check up visiting nurses (weight 7lbs 8oz)

4/3/2004 - Eva is released from Mercy Hospital. Good health. Parents terrified.

4/1/2004 - 9:15 p.m. Eva Kathryn Morris is born 8lbs 1oz. 19.5"
